Medium calibre modern AP collection

Thanks for the addition projectile photo! SUPER nice and one that I have not seen before in my research. I am going to see if i can use this pic to ID it by comparing it to some reference material I have including, JANE's. The fin assembly is longer then most, which may be helpful in the ID. GAME ON! Really nice 90!

Hi,
Another picture, just showing the markings. No markings other than R891 and 22A, 22B, 22C for the separate sabot petals.
No markings on the penetrator either.

After a long winter period of buying stuff and having to wait untill the first fair of the new year, I was finally able to pick up the stuff that I bought the past few months.
The latest additions:
20x110 Yugoslav M60 API
20x110 Swedish API
120mm incomplete DM13 penetrator
120mm DM23 penetrator
120mm DM23 with loose sabots
120mm DM43 test type with loose sabots

I now have 4 generations of Rheinmetall 120mm penetrators.

The 4 generations of 120mm Rheinmetall APFSDS-T.
Top to bottom:
DM13
DM23
DM33A1
DM43 (I hope, I see all different kinds of pictures everywhere. I am not even sure whether the sabot is correct for the dart. I doesn't fit too well. It is probably some sort of test type.)

Ah, there the box with the two 100 MM shells is you told me about. That's a nice buy for shure
Btw. the DM43 is no APDS but a HVAP.

Regards, DJH

Hi DJ,
Thanks. That is what you get for typing late at night.
The DM43 is actually a API-T and the DM63 is called a HVAP-DS.
Regards,
Dominique

Hello All,

Only one addition from the latest meeting, a 20x110 Swedish API.
Nice looking round, but I cannot find much info about it.

If the projectile is the 90mm M690A1, then is correct for the case, likely marked MMJ: it's the Belgian-designed Cockerill Kenerga Mk VIII, I believe. Cheers.

The latest addition. Another lucky find.
This is one of the test cartridges used during the development of the 30mm MPDS round for the Dutch Goalkeeper system. This cartridge was used during testing, to simulate the higher velocities encountered when the MPDS core hits a missile warhead (velocity core + velocity warhead). Interesting piece of CIWS history.
