Do any UK members really understand and know the current UK deac rules/laws. Please please educate me with 'idiot proof' language on what they are? :tinysmile_fatgrin_t
Then, I am going to be really brave and want to know the deac rules/laws for France, Belgium and Germany! Any Europeans who can state the respective other nation's rules would be most welcome. Huge thanks.
As in previous threads, finding dug ups or poor condition MGs is not impossible but the challenge is ‘making them whole again’ purely for display. I know many like to leave as is but often the condition is worsening and once clean and rust stable I paint them in ‘rust’ paint. They do have a look of their own I think!
Some examples of WWI Imperial German Army MG08 trench mounts. Often made by unit armourers/self help by the machine gunners so there are many many types and configurations. As with most good military units, making functional pieces of kit with other old parts of mounts etc was quite common. The MG08 on the right is a period converted zeppelin MG to ground use.
