Random Museum Ordnance Photos

What is the 2.36 inch rocket? It is shaped like a WP, but almost looks like a nerve gas paint job, but has vent holes in the back, or so it looks.

Don't know. There were a lot of experimentals - HC smoke, incendiary, various WPs etc, but only one CW (blood agent CK) made it to my knowledge. There are several 2.36 in this group, I'll post more in the next day or two.

Thanks Jeff, that is the first photo of an M16 smoke grenade I have ever seen.

I have to admit that I have not seen at least half of the items before :) and I have hard time to find names for the photos.

Thanks again Jeff.

I was hoping someone would know, the M10 universal destructor is well documented and can be found, but it is nothing like this. I have no idea.

the first 3 items are either the M 82 or M 76, the 76 is an IR type smoke and 82 is a while smoke, one of my clients makes the base plug and fuze parts for them, These parts are then shipped to Pine Bluff Arsenal for final loading. They are suppose to be mounted on the various armored vehicles and M1 tank, There is also a XM 90 . replaced the old m 138(think that is the right modle) but it was the launcher that was mounted on the Sheridan, there were 2 models one had 2 ea M8 smoke grenades and the other ahd a M8 HC smoke and a m34 WP.. 4 launchers mounted on each side of the main gun aimed out with an up angle of aout 45 degree

No ID given, I am guessing a short 3-inch Stokes variant, burning smoke?

Do you have any info on what looks to be a 155mm projo. It looks like an M118 Illum, but it is too tall and has what looks like a separate piece of ogive that the M118 doesn't have.

Awesome 3inch Davis!
What is that item in the images 3&4?
And what is that 60mm with Chinese or Japanese characters?

Damn! 3 inch Davis Gun! Stuff you only hear about. The photos in the China Lake museum collection showed them trying Davis Guns on planes for use in Vietnam.
