What happened to the Ottoman Empire after IWW? All I knew it was fragmented into smaller pieces. The actuality is quite more complex. This Turkish film https://www.imdb.com/title/tt29808429/ filled my historical void. This excessively long production about a Turkish football club Fenerbahce intertwines sports, politics, religion and war. Football like in a game when players can't hold the ball. There are long love sequences reminding the viewer of Indian Bollywood onscreen romances. Highly patriotic, it describes 1918-1922 period, with actual historic characters, whole lives are described in the closing titles. In Turkish, English, Russian and French.
