Unknown fuze (Germany)

Hi >
Unknown version (and marking) fuse (for export...) and any information about it is welcome.
The file contains individual components and is focused on production standards on Swiss machine tools of the brand "Index" (material designation and production times / 1 pc and 1000 pcs, etc. production data).

One front letter looks like a mirrored Greek Sigma. What language could it be? It's probably made by Rheinmetall

Looks like an AZ 23 . the brass or aluminium version.
Hi pzgr40
Yes.
So the question is, is there anything more known about the delivery to (Greece) of the 75mm caliber year (1937).
I will give a cut here ...

Why Greek? These aren't Greek letters. It just looks like a Sigma but it's reversed/mirrored. On first view I also thought greek, but it isn't.

I am almost sure it's Bulgarian Cyrillic but not written nicely:

У = Удариа З = Запалка - same as german A.Z. Aufschlag Zünder (percussion fuze)

Delay setting:
б=бързо? (quick)
C=c? (with) З=забавяне? (Delay)

So it's a 1:1 German : Bulgarian translation from german A.Z.23 fuze. My translation may not be 100% correct, hopefully one of the Bulgarian members will notice this thread.

Btw. nice find!

Interesting that they chose the designation - in connection with the year 37 (?) and not the translation of the designation of the fuze A.Z.23 . But according to the customer's wishes, they could have come across anything there...

See attached document. It's technical not interesting (financial details about export credits) but it mentions an order of 80000 artillery fuzes for 7,5 cm and 10,5 cm shells and it is dated December 1936 so fits perfectly to your fuze drawings. It also mentions two already finished deliveries of fuzes.

Would this be an example of the things we’ve talked about not so long ago? Super interesting info. Really.
