Type 208 Fuze

Hi all, new member here. We have recently moved over to Perth, WA, from the UK. Unfortunately, we had to sell our collection of shells and casings etc, as we couldn't bring them over. We are now in the process of building up our collection again, and the first thing we have got hold off is a WW2 Type 208 fuse.

Obviously been used, and was quite a mess when we got it. I have cleaned it up, just enough to see the details etc. The kids are fascinated by it, but just wondered if anybody could give us a bit of information on the numbering on it?

I have gathered its a Type 208, made in 1943, and I think the numbers for the timer setting relate to seconds?

Any other information much appreciated!

Hello everyone, thank you for this collection of British rockets, it is not easy to find documentation on the munitions of these latter. I take this opportunity to ask you if anyone has the documentation on this one it is N°211 I have one or two plates but if you have the "PHAMPHLET" on it I would be delighted
Thank you

Documentation on RN stores is difficult to come by. The No. 211 is no more than a Royal Navy version the No. 208, however the magazine is much larger. The operation is the same as the other Krupp/Thiel 200 series time mechanical fuzes. The attached may be of some use.
