May want to stop by the new members section and introduce yourself.

No documentation here, just an internal view of a fired example.

Frank,

I am looking at the image where you can see inside ... what are the round things at the top? Are they vent holes? and how many are there?

Joe

Joe, they look like 8 of them. Seems this is a grenade which expells 8 smaller units which then cover a larger area and produce effect from more than one direction (likely with varying delay times) so attention is diverted even more.
Just my understanding from what I see.

Joe,

I believe that EOD is correct with 8 ignition ports in a circular pattern and possibly an additional 1 in the center (Just from memory, I no longer have the grenade to check). The main fuze was a standard M201 Series Pyrotechnic with a "confidence" clip. The grenade(s) contained a bundle of cardboard tubes that were ejected from the body, each being a separate quick match fuzed diversionary / distraction charge. The Grenade Bodies were aluminum material. I did not take any measurements and was unable to determine at the time if this was a commercial or military production model.

I have posted some additional overall photos for reference.

Stay safe,

Frank

Hi,

Another BOCN member asked to see the entire pamphlet, so I've added the front and back cover.

The earlier photo's show the Mark 2 version. I'm not sure of the difference, but my Dummy grenade doesn't mention the Mark 2:
