I think the Delay fitted to the Mk I Hemispherical Limpet is either an early MD1 soluble pellet delay, or possibly an item known as a J. Delay which if I recall correctly was an early Acetone Celluloid Delay. Bonnex will no doubt put us right.
Hohlladung mit Haftmagneten pictured is known as a Josephine Limpet, apparently designed for attacking oil filled transformers. (Operation Josephine)
A couple of pictures for you, and I will go and see what else I can find.
Thanks for yours. The 'early MD1 soluble pellet delay' and the 'J Delay' are one and the same. 'J' being a thoughtful acknowledgement to Jefferis who designed the delay. There are two or three variations of the J Delay. It was redesigned to give better timing consistency by the Cambridge outstation of ISRB and superseded entirely when the AC Delay became available.
