we wouldnt want that ,you have a right to complain.

If it was someone else then we would have been suspicious but Mike Saffrey has a very good reputation so thats why loads have defended him.

No one can get it right 100% of the time though.

If you think (and you could be right) you are paying too much,then dont buy it.

In the end we would all support you and Mike regardless.

Its important we have this openess,and i'm pleased its resolved.

Bit late on this thread I know... but would also like to add ive NEVER had a problem with Mike in the last 8 years or so, not on ebay, SA or with Paypal. I went to collect my SD50 I purchased from him about 5 years ago, he threw in a free 55 fuze to boot! A great guy who deserves a lot of respect.. i do often wonder where he get all the yummy stuff from though!

I've known Mike for a number of years now and he has always been the most reliable and honest of dealers. I value his knowledge greatly and he has helped my understand many things related to grenades and shells and shares his knowledge freely.

I don't know what the problem is with this transaction but as people have stated it may be due to currency convesrions, credit card fees or whatever. I'm sure it can be sorted.

Gustaf got the key I think. I dont know how you paid Mike, but maybe here is the problem. Also the shipping to USA is not the same than to Europe. All the nice words than can be written about Mike are already written in this thread, but I want to add my two cents: its true that he is short in words, but maybe if we had dozens and dozens of emails every day would do the same. When I asked him more pics from an item he has taken them for me, always answered to my questions, etc. He is the Master of the Grenades in the selling world and a totally professional and serious dealer. A lot of items in my collection came from him during this 5 years of collecting. So, as you can see you have not find a negative post about Mike Saffery in this thread. Next time you want to buy from him ask first for elude these misunderstandings. I use this post for wish to all the forum members a very happy beginning of the new year 2010, of course plenty of new items for our collections. :tinysmile_shy_t:

I have had dozens of deals with Mike and he has always been the greatest of gentlemen. In the 2 times that I was not satisfied with the item.( he stated in his descriptions the flaws and I took a gamble, and he was right!) I returned it and he refunded my money the next day. He did not recieve the returns for 8 weeks due to sea mail delays. He has the highest rating that I can give a dealer and I have delt with many in over 10 countries. Highlandotter, in the US
 
Mike never fails to satisfy. I've made a few buys already this year.
It's a Sunday night ritual of mine to check his newest SA posts.
