Medium size well kept museum https://www.visitvalencia.com/que-h...-en-valencia/museo-historico-militar-valencia, in the centre of the City of Valencia. The building is the same size and looks as is Delegacion De Defensa en La Comunidad Valenciana, separated only by a narrow street. If you see that tank and helicopter in front of you, you are in a wrong place. Go to the left and around the corner to the museum entrance. I asked a couple of women (who were actually going inside the Ministry) and they walked me to the Defence Ministry entrance only to find out that I was not invited to their meeting (my lack of Valenciano did not help at all).

And now, for something completely different....

I'll add much more manana, I am wasted and burnt, I walked from the beach to the museum at 2pm, the worst time possible. Those who know the city will understand.

Thank you very much for sharing your photos. I go to Valencia at least twice a year to visit my brother who lives near there, every time ive visited the museum i have timed it wrong and the place has been closed.So again thank you for sharing

Actually the museum closes at 20:00 hr (8pm).

If you go to Cartagena you will find several muses of Artilleria and Naval away from a grand base of the navy of ships and submarines.
You can also visit countless artillery fortresses that once protected the naval base with Vickers cannons even in their positions
It is worth going just to see the landscapes from those positions.

Two last things.
Yes, the museum is FREE and is owned by the Spanish Defence Ministry.
And the best way to avoid the sun is to go to the museum by METRO.

Finally i managed to visit this museum yesterday and like skvslad i highly recomend it.
