Most probably a depth charge fuze.

Does anybody know this fuze . I suspect it is an depth charge fuze However I cannot find anything about it in my brittish underwater ordnance archives, an looking at the markings it's Brittish either commonwealth. It is marked Mk9, Mod 4
I am looking for a type designation and a cutaway drawing. Also , in what bomb or charge does it belong?

Can't help with the Pistol model number, but looks to be this type, so British origin.
This example is in the RNZN museum,unfortunatley with little detail about it.

It is the UK Pist Mk IX, used with the british depth charge Mk VII heavy.
Have a look on the US TM S-3-2-15

stil believe its us made, mod 4 designation is typical us.

Yoda is right. This is typical British naval terminology, as in Mk 11 Mod 0 for a particular air delivered depth charge.

You can see the British broad arrow. Not all are indicators.
