Minenwerfer.

Hello,
I am trying to identify these two models of Minenwerfer mentioned in documentation 1916/1917.

Genter ladungswerfer
Behelfmässige minenwerfer

Thanks in advance.

"Genter Werfer" is correct. It's named after the Belgian city Gent where it was developed (improvised).

See PDF page number 345 in the following dissertation:

For the second question see pages 324/325. It's a early name of the 9 cm Mauser Minenwerfer.

Wait, so the Genter Minenwerfer is the 9cm variant, not the 15,8cm?

Do the Magener Minenwerfer and Minenwerfer Albrecht have anything to do with it or is it like a different name of the Genter MW or something else completely?

No, it's the 15,8 cm (16 cm) - at least most probably. The first 9 cm were called "behelfsmäßiger Minenwerfer". But sources differ - an other source has 15 cm for the Magener / Genter Werfer. Even possible they made different mortars there.

Thank you for this information.
The topic of auxiliary Minenwerfer is complicated. There are many that I can't identify.

In my listing, the 9cm "Minenwerfer Mauser" is distinguished from the "Behelfmässige minenwerfer unter 10cm Kaliber".
There is also mention of the "Behelfmässige minenwerfer über 10cm Kaliber".

The document dates from early 1917.

Yes, the word "behälfsmäßig" means improvised. And there were a lot more improvised mortars than regular models.
