The conning tower from the M22 was on display at the Garden Island Naval Museum ( which is now unfortunately permanently closed)
This one is better than most, which are usually a couple of inches of copper pipe or something boring like that. The submarines were dismantled at the Garden Island dockyard (with all of those workshop scrap bins) and it is said that the weight of official souvenirs exceeded the weight of the submarines somewhat. Anything for a good cause...
Over the years, Australian ebay has listed some impressive items purportedly from the two submarines they recovered, like a torpedo gyro still in its wooden box. Go figure.
