HIMAR MLRS GMLRS Info

Good Day to all,
I am trying to work up a little info paper for some of my techs. I'm looking at all the subj rockets and missiles to get their Net Explosive Weight.

Does anyone have a source? I have found some warhead weights and some rocket motors, they seem to be the same, but I can't find reliable and complete info, and I don't want to have to break out the secret stuff.

Thanks

J

I don't know the specifics on Himars, whether it is just MLRS on a different platform or if it has been modified, but the MLRS is a 227mm rocket with 644 M77 submunitions per rocket, 30.5gr of Comp A5 per submunition. There was also a BP expulsion charge that split the warhead skin and gave the submunitions a push in the right direction. The fuze was a wind driven electric fuze, as I recall there was no explosive hazard. I think one of our members did a write up on the rocket also, showing his cutaway efforts.
