British ADEN 30/20mm case

I thought to post a few pictures of an unfinished 20mm ADEN case recently acquired. Post WW2 the RAF wanted improved aircraft guns and continued the development of the Mauser MK213 experimental gun. This work initially featured both 30mm and 20mm versions, as had the original Mauser project, the 20mm British development did not get very far and was dropped in favour of the 30mm version.
The case is 135.5mm long, belt diameter of 33.7mm, rim diameter of 31.8mm with an overall round length of 199mm. Pictured with a dummy projectile next to the winning 30mm low velocity cartridge.

Please see image of the 20/30s for the type of projectile you are looking for to complete your round, unfortunately there are different drive band types to look out for.

cheers

Makes you wonder where all the other 30/20 alloy cases went...

Dave.

Dave

There must be some more out there somewhere, we are only custodians for the time being, if anyone has any then please PM me.
Just for reference the one above the alloy is a dummy, so they obviously made the full range.

Cheers
