B 173 Ammo Box Markings

Good evening all

I have a B173 ammo box and i am wondering what the markings would have looked like on it.

Understand that it would have been used for a 3" mortar rounds, (smoke, chemial, and star) but what would have been the markings on the box.

I have tried carfull samding and found nothing before the re-paint i did a few months ago.

Any pictures, hints and tips very welcome!
