AO-10 Mk2

Who can help me on info about the AO-10 (Mk-2), like explosives weight and from what cluster bomb carrier it was used.
Also , what fuze belongs on top? The AM-A BV (without propeller), or the AM (A/B) with propeller.
Complete length of the bomb (with tail and fuze is 405mm, bomb body diameter 87mm, tail diameter (over wings) 119mm.
Any info is welcome, datasheets even more.

Thanks in advance
Regards, DJH

I'm not sure about the Mk-2 bit, are you referring to the later 1950s models?

The earlier ones are known to include:
  • The AO-10-6.5bis (АО-10-6,5бис), version (drawing number) 3-0687;
  • The AO-10-6.5sch (АО-10-6,5сч), steel/cast iron mix, drawing number 3-588, also known as the AO-8m6sch (АО-8м6сч);
  • The AO-10-6.5sch (АО-10-6,5сч), steel/cast iron mix, drawing number 3-0966;
  • The AO-10-6.5st (АО-10-6,5ст), steel, three drawing numbers, also known as the AO-8m6 (АО-8м6) and OAB-8 (ОАБ-8);
  • The AO-10-6.5st (АО-10-6,5ст), steel, drawing number 3-568; and
  • The AO-10sch (АО-10сч), steel/cast iron mix, drawing number 3-0571.
The later AO-10 model is the just the AO-10 (АО-10), drawing numbers 9-044, and 9-01629. The only reference materials I have list it as using the AM-A (АМ-А) fuze.

The later one was carried, as far as I can tell, by the RBK-500-375 AO-10 (РБК-500-375 АО-10), of which there are at least two versions (drawing numbers).

Hi Eggburt, thanks for the info so far.
I got the Mk2 added from CAT UXO. On what info I could find I assume mine is the late 50's type. It is cast iron.

You helped me out.... the term РБК-500-375 АО-10 was enough to find all info. Thanks!
