Dutch, as I understand it the black tip is a 10% over-pressure for the weapon proof and the yellow tip is a 30% over-pressure for barrel proof. I am not aware of a blue-tipped load in this calibre.
Jim
The blue ones are not "military issue" and are only used by arms manufacturers.
Yellow, alternatively longer heavy bi caliber bullet with short ogive (barrel proof): VD
Black (weapon proof): UZ
04 in this case means: VEB Mechanische Werksttten Knigswartha (DDR / east Germany).VEB=Volkseigener Betrieb = Peoples owned factory. Year of manufacturing 1967 military ammo
There are some errors in this list (which is incomplete):
904 and 911 are no codes but years same as the 29.
Always observe the year and type of item when talking about codes. Some codes here had more locations than one since they have been evacuated in 1941 + some names of locations had been changed by the communists.
You told me to be patient when I expressed interest in a book on Factory Codes.
I assumed you had something up your sleeve. I gave you one year, didn't I?
Still looking for info on Chinese codes if any one has any?
