Manufactured by EOC (Elswick Ordnance Company which was the armaments branch of W.G Armstrong) in England under contract for the Imperial Japanese Army in the Meiji year 45 which is 1912.

I found this in a box today when I was sorting stuff out, thought it would be of interest.
I don't recall seeing may of the base fuzed versions around. Does anyone know what date they stopped using them?

Japanese Navy 5th Year Nose Fuze with Gaine as used on the 8, 12 and 14 cm projectiles. This fuze was made in May 1942 at Kure Naval Arsenal.
I'm looking for adaptor if anyone knows where I can find one.
Japanese Type 88 Slight Delay Nose Percussion Fuze intended for use in ammunition for Howitzer and low velocity guns
Delay is estimated at between .05 and 1 second..
Instructions on outside of can are for how to open the can etc.
