WW2 School Display

Below are pictures of a recent display I put on for my sons former school (he has since graduated). They spend one week each year teaching the 7th grade class about WW2 and this is the 7th year I have given this presentation. The vast majority are extremely interested and many good questions are asked by the students. The school feels (as do I) that it's important to teach students about our history and seeing these items in person adds a whole new dimension not found in books.
I was initially apprehensive about bringing inert ordnance into the school but how complete would a presentation be without ordnance items?
The school is a private one which helped avoid any knee jerk reactions by mindless bureaucrats and I discussed the programs content with every level of administration from the Headmaster down and received their support and blessing. I also spoke to the head of the local police bomb squad who felt there was no need for concern as long as the school was 100% behind it. With these bases covered, it has been a fantastic program and I have been invited back year after year. Pat
