Hello Folks -
Don't get over here that often, but every now and then I run across something I can't pass up. Today I found two (what I believe are) French WW1 75mm Shell Casings. Each stands ~13-3/4"s tall and both are in great shape.
Wondered if the headstamps signified any specific usage, or if someone could help decipher the marks.
One is stamped: 75 DE C - PDPs - 1385L - 18 SD
One is stamped: 75 DE C - MGM - 524L - 17 BX - Ln
The above are going counterclockwise from the top of the stampings. Just as an fyi, each was $12.50USD. Not sure what these go for, but they are worth that much to me for the collection.
Thanks!
