WW1 find,front line made copper & brass,fitting knuckles.Possibably made from shell ?

This isn,t ordanace but I had to have it for my WW1 stuff.They are different, made of copper and brass,the copper pard is possibly made from a large shell casing,I have not been able to find any markings left over but the fellow I bought them from said he had a one that was dated 1917.The really scary part for me is how much wear they have.Poor Germans

It has a few dengs,they might have hit helmets when nessaray,I suppose it might stun the @## out of you.

Could be another piece of evidence for the viciousness of First World War trench warfare. Apparently Siegfried Sassoon, the writer and poet, had a nail studded knobkerrie he liked to use on trench raids. I don't whether he ever felt any desire to use it on literary critics.
