WW1 2pdr ID req'd, please.

Hi all.

With reference to the picture below can any ID this WW1 two pounder? Its overall height is 284mm. Its case lenght is 156mm. On the base is stamped '2Pr I-III GUNS & 9.5 IN' plus usual markings. And why no point to the projectile?

The 9.5 IN marking means that the 2 Pounder cartridge case was also used for the blank charge for the 9.5 IN depth charge thrower.

Sorry I can't help you on the projectile.
 
Projectile should be marked with type and date but I suspect yours has some corrosion under the nearly new shinny paint and it could be a WWII practice. might be worth diong a search on 2pr etc on this site.
