WHAT A SUITCASE ! apparently it was a Saboteurs training kit i would like to display one of these ! at least it would also be easy to pack away ! shut lid and go !
If it is the one I'm thinking of, it belonged to Stuart MacRae (author of "Winston Churchill's Toy Shop") of MD1 and was recovered about 500m from where I live. It was more of a travelling salesman's display case than a saboteur's kit.
Wonderful piece of history, thanks for posting photos and the link.
This is the sort of thing that keeps our hobby live, the hope of one day finding something like this and adding it to the collection.
I can't imagine what it would sell for on the open market, far more than the sum of the individual parts I would think especially with the history attached.
Dave.
