i have found a vz19 fuse and its body
it is apx 7.65cm in diameter
but does any body know its origin and what it was fired from
i found it on omah beach

ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE NOT A LIVE MUNITION ?
Did you found it on Omah or Omaha beach (Normandy) ?
If you found it on a beach, there are great posssibility that your finding is "live". Warn the police forces, they will take appropriate action.

As said yodamaster , if found on the beach , certainly not empty ammo.

was it written on the fuze , or somebody told you the name ?

Sorry but I do have to say something about this thread.....ninja1980 is a new member to our community and this is his first post and for all we know he could be new to our hobby,my point being some of the answers he got could be enough to scare him away from our,normaly,friendly site..I'm not refering to Yodas concerns but the 'worries' about this fuze being placed in the wrong section....who cares!...it does take a while to find your way around this site when you are new to it,remember how it was when you joined?
Come on guys we have to cut some slack sometimes and we all had to learn things in the beginning including finding our way around BOCN

Where do you see an attack ?
I had only asked : Is it a bomb fuze ?


Is it rude to ask for some confirmations ? (he may perhaps make a confusion between a bomb and a shell) .
You can remark that ,to help ninja1980 , i have posted two pictures of the possible ammos .

I never mentioned an attack....I wrote what I said and nothing else....yes you have posted some very nice pictures...which would imply you did know it wasn't a bomb fuze in the first place.
I am not having a go at you or anybody else,just put the shoe on the other foot and think how some of the remarks(not just yours) would feel if you were a new member and possibly a novice in collecting ordnance and had asked the same question
