Unscrewing shells

In the post you listed as an example, you can see the pipe wrench marks on the nose fuze. I use a chain pipe vice after I have wrapped the projectile in 2 or three layers of rubber from an inner tube. You can also get large chain pipe wrenches. Strap wrenches also work, if you can get good friction on the steel. The inner tube gives good friction, and protects from any sharp teeth on a pipe wrench or vice.

I also use good penetrating oil first.
