Unknown WW1 fuse

My grandfather and step grandfather (and his father) brought back some stuff from WW1; they story is that they are all from around Ypres. The one we have not been able to identify is attached. It appears to be rather 'squished', but it have the number 29 stamped on the base and the 'crows foot' mark on one of it's edges. I thought i may have been a percussion fuse. It's a powder train ring from a British time fuze , probably something like a No80 . One of the expert fuze members may be able to identify it more accurately .

I think i Understand the powder train ring, but i'm being really thick. I've had a scan of the fuse diagrams on here, but I cannot visualise where this fits in.

Can someone take pity and do the idiot guide for me :)
