unknown rocket fuze???

can anybody help me with identifying this fuze?
Obviously base fuze, pobably for rocket, British???
Please let me know!

Reminds me of an RCL fuze for those with access to their files this morning, Burney type.


No 299 is probably the right number.

Fuzes Nos 295, 299 and 303 are all candidates. I will try to work out what the differences are but information is sparse.

Post-war the 303 was used with the AVRE HESH projectile. The 295 was used with the RCL 3.7 and the 299 with the RCL 3.45. Other applications likely.
