Unknown nade at Ebay

For what it's worth, it does not resemble any WW1 grenade I am familiar with but curious just the same.......Dano
 
The Spanish Civil War sticks havent a fuze on the top. I copied the pics for list them here because when the link expires.

I was able to talk to the seller before the auction ended and this is what he said about it:

"My brother found it in the street about 50-55 years ago in our home town haifa. this was just some years after the british left our country."

This makes me think that it may be WWII or later. Could this be a rifle grenade or mortar round of some sort? The circular disk might be for a cup launcher or something along that line. The hole in the bottom may have been for a tail fin. :hmmmm2:
