Unknown Mine ?
This was found in Latvia. It weighs between 8-10 pounds and is 72-75mm in diameter. The base unscrews and the interior is smooth metal. The top has a small screw hole where a fuzing system could have been fixed but it is not in the center, it is pushed off more toward the edge.
History of the place: They have a tremendous amount of both German and Russian Ordnance from both world wars. The construction pushes me towards WW1 and the metallurgy is way more advanced than anything the Russians were putting out at the time. If you have seen this or know what it is, please let me know.
It reminds me of a Granatwerfer 16
