Picked this up in a box of miscellaneous Fuze Parts. Measures approximately 23mm x 23mm. Interior has sub-components that rotate off center, possibly to block a striker?

Thanks,

Frank

I'm sure you are being careful that there isn't a stab detonator that can rotate into a vulnerable position on it. Never seen anything shaped like it before.

Thanks, yes it is currently void of any energetic materials. It has a clear interior hole from end to end, depending on how the internals are positioned.

Defiantly appears to be a piece of a bigger puzzle.

Thanks much,

Frank

What you have is the rotor fo a US PD fuze M64A1. Used in 40mm MK-2 Projectiles

Bob,

Thanks Much! Your image also ID's two additional unknown pieces that I had from the same box.

Thanks again and stay safe,

Frank

The overall shape is similar to a component I have seen in the M54 (WW2) fuze, chamfered at one end and flat at the other.
