Unknown Clock Electric Fuze

I fancied that one, but not at that price. I believe it was out of a Naval Mine, used to either flood the mine, or cut the cabling after a protracted period of time ie to disable the device. Later electric clocks also had a SOE interest for long term sabotage delays. I am sure someone in here will be able to add additional information accordingly.

Thank you for the information - that's very interesting and an area of naval ordnance I don't seem to find a lot of reference material on.

Would the "7/5/19" be the date - 1919? Would seem to be a little early for an electric driven fuse around that time????

Yes, it is an arming delay clock Mark 1 used to arm British underwater sea mines after laying.

No, it has been too long since I was at DEODS. Most ground mines I would think.
