Unknown Artillery Shell Case

I got this a while back . It measures 39cm long & approx. 10.5cm diameter at the top . I can't make out any markings on the base due to the sediment on it . The case had a removable plate in the mouth [see scans] . Any help would be appreciated.

It's a 10.5cm Model 1913 French/Belgian field gun case with cap, probably Schneider made.
