Hello,
I got this A/T-mine which is unknown to me. It is certainly former east Bloc origin, has the " OTK " stamp on it. I remember seeing this mine in one document and as I remember, it could be a chemical ?! mine, WWII or later, Baltic Country??
Please let me know if anybody can help me with this!

Hello Mrfuze,
It isn`t A/T-mine. It`s Sovit container for vomiting gas MO-11 (on the body should be inscription, but probably this place on your body in bad condition. See my MO-11 :) ). Very interesting device, about which nobody has manual.
It`s rare device.

I think thic device appeared in 1970-th year, because in book for soviet chemical forces printed in 1960-th and 1980-th we can`t see this mine, but books from 1970-th I haven`t found.
And in book about practice chemical equipment printed in 1988 year another chemical mines, made of plastic.

A couple of questions ... 1 can you take a couple of side view shots of this mine? I was wondering how tall it is. And what fuzes did the mine use? Also how many fuzes can it use? Does it have one on the bottom or side?

Thanks,
Joe

Ivashkin,
you speak of container and device, should it not be a mine, chemical mine ?

On my opinion - it`s chemical mine, because on warehous it`s empty, and when it gives to Forces I think could be put inside anything, but officially only vomiting gas.
I know this mine/device has warehous of Ministry of Emergency Situations in Ukraine and they talk it`s for study chemical protection. But and in the same moment they don`t have any manual for this mine/device.
As for practice chemical mine it has too hard body. I mean it could be only in the ground, but not on the ground, because fragments could wound anybody and make casualties.

It doesn`t have any fuzes. In center whole puts charge (I think 75g of TNT or PE) and electric detonator. In side whole puts toxic agent (today practice, but tomorrow in another mines could be put any other toxic-agent :tinysmile_tongue_t: ).

Joe,
I will measure the mine and will make pics tomorrow.
There are no secondary fuze wells in this item. It is unknown to me, which fuze fits into this body. The thread pitch and diameter of the body threads are not common on any Russian fuzes, I have in my reference collection. Definitely the side screw is a filling plug, it has an angled groove which matches the groove in the mine for a tight seal.

Here are the measurements:
Dia.: 300mm; height: 110mm (without bakelite plug); fuze thread dia.: 36mm

This is the right fuze for MO-11 chemical mine ...

I'm joking of course :tinysmile_twink_t2:, but the fact that the Tellermineznder 35 fits into, makes you think ....
