We have this projectile in a work collection that has defied identification for some time. It appears to be a composite rigid style projectile and is maybe from the 2nd WW. The stampings on it are identifications for the collection and not original. It has very faint markings on it that suggest that it could be Japanese. The calibre is about 49 mm. I don't currently have access to the projectile and the photos are all I have at the moment. It looks like the outside is designed to breakup on striking armour and alow the internal penetrator to penetrate the armour. Any help would be appreciated.
