Unknown 37mm AP projectile

Posted this on the IAA some time ago but have yet to get an answer of any kind! Interested to see what people think.

I believe it might be for the 37x219sr T250X-2 (or perhaps the earlier, taller 37x256 T250X-1) gatling cannon on the T249 Vigilante SPAAG but I have never seen or heard of a AP loading for the T250 and can’t find anything online.

The construction of the projectile seems to be a solid steel body (no hard core), a hollow aluminum windshield and what seems to be a tracer pocket in the base. It measures 37mm in diameter and approximately 172 - 173mm in length.

The reason I believe it may be for the T250 is the identical crimp grooves and drive band seen on the T250 TP rounds and dummies. I’ve attached a photo of a T324 TP projectile seperate from its case (missing the nose and heavily corroded but the only one I could find) along with a WW2 37mm M74 AP-T projectile for reference. The only thing that’s majorly different is the projectile length is a fair bit shorter than a T324 TP.
