Hi I came across this 30mm projectile, the last time I seen one was about 10 years ago and nobody could give a positive ID .
I found a paper back then suggesting it was a possible experimental that never when into service but it was vague as was alot of guessing.
The paper which I no longer have it can find was pointing to an APSE .
Im not sure if It's Hispano-Suiza testing from the 1950s on or a KCB variant.
It's 140mm long with fuze , it has a cup inside that possibly held an AP core , the alloy fuze is threaded on the inside ,also the body of the projectile is alloy with a steel drive band ,
It also has a hole for a tracer , some suggestions were it was Rarden related to Hispano-Suiza and KCB .
If anyone has the drawings which I can no longer find and some positive ID without guessing that would point me in the right direction I'd appreciate that .
The colour of the alloy body is the same as the one I had and my mate had one to .
Thanks Ken
