I've had the attached photos and dimensions forwarded to me for ID assistence but am coming up zeros. Any support would be appreciated. Austin

The overall length is 125mm
The internal depth to the disc is 99.5mm Diameter at top is 21.5mm Diameter at tapered section is 24mm Diameter at widest part is 30.5mm Width of the grove at the base is 3mm Bottom of casing (ejector ring??) is 2.5mm Bottom of tapper to top of grove is 24.5mm Bottom of tapper to bottom of round is 30mm

On the base
Overall diameter is 30mm
Inner (flange)diameter is 21.75
Holes 5.1mm
Depth 4.1mm
Primer 5.1mm

Obviously steel construction weight in current condition is approx. 1/4lb.

Thanks SG500. Any thoughts on potential DU presence at the site?

Hi i'm sure there are EOD guys on BOCN who are much better qualified than me to comment on DU contamination.
All I can really say is that the rounds I have aren't the DU versions, they are some sort of Tungsten alloy. The DU projectiles are a much darker colour. If you look at the fired one in the link below its a DU one, the article give some info about DU contamination also.

One of my co-workers was at Schofield Barracks during the discovery of fragmnents. The link below speaks of the subsequent NRC findings in memo form.

There is quite a bit of info about DU contamination from Davey Crockett spotter rounds on the internet. Google "Davey Crockett" and go down the list.
