Unexpected item for collection-Glevum

Got hold of a rather unexpected addition yesterday thanks to Glevum (Will) who very kindly brought this nice little item along.

I limited myself to collecting between 14.5 mm and a maximum of 57 mm soviet bloc ammunition in the vain hope that it would not be possible to end up with loads and loads of rounds-oh well never mind.

This item is very nice as it is wartime issue Brass cased Armour Piercing Incendiary Type "B32" dated "41" from factory number 3B which I have not come across before and yes it is only 12.7 mm x 108 but I am making an exception to my rule on the calibre as it is so nice:rolleyes:
Many thanks will.
The round is INERT, oiled and fully section 5 compliant.
Must apologise for the wonky picture but my PSE kills anything I reduce or alter to go on here.

I can see why you are making an exception for this round, very nice indeed! Great condition and a really nice find.

Hi Chris,
3B is the code for Ulyanovsk, 3B is crylic for ZV, for their Zavod factory.
This code was used on 7.62x54R ammo from 1928 to 1941 and I presume the same goes for the 12.7x108mm as well.

Nice find

Tony

Thank you Tony!

Thank you for the additional information Tony, it will go on the tag for the round.
All these obscure and secret factories are hard to research.
