Thiel clockwork fuze with Factory Guard pistol

Greetings again from the U.S. now I will show you why I was looking for Thiel clockwork fuzes. Because I am the new proud owner of a Werkschutz Walther PPK fromt he Thiel Factory. This was probably captured by men of the 6th armored division. We are very lucky that we don't have to deactivate guns so it is in the same exact condition as the day a G.I. got it from the surrendering garrison at Muhlhausen. I found a Thiel fuze that actually still ticks when wound!!! Muhlhausen was cleared April 5th 1945 by the 6th armored of the 3rd army. 6 days later they cleared Buchenwald camp 60 miles to the east.

I'm trying to find a living vet of the 6th armored so I can interview them about the Fuze factory. anyone know how I can look them up and write them?

as for on the British side, do you guys have any pictures of Muhlhausen from April 1945 or pictures of the Thiel factory?

location of the factory Muhlhausen.

Hello hothmobile! It can also be Mulhouse in Thuringia, in Smmerda fuses were produced and Walther Waffen were also built with wallowing. Place tomorrow a plan purely. Greeting Jrg

Jeorg Hi, thanks for replying but I can't fully understand what you are saying. "place tomorrow a plan purely" I can't figure these words out? I'm sorry. Can you perhaps write in your first language and then I will have it translated for me? I am trying to research the Thiel factory information as much as I can so I don't want to miss any thing.

the Muhlhausen that I'm referring to is in Thur. so I'm confused by what you mean?

This fuse is for naval use.. It has a Kriegsmarine stamp on it. (small eagle Swastika below, M III) ?? I believe it was used in the 30.5CM, 28CM, 24CM, 20.3CM, 17CM, 15CM and 12.7 CM shells.
