Shooting in USA

Here is a photo of me from a recent trip to the USA. I am shooting a Romanian made semi-automatic AK47 copy.

We shot all sorts of stuff including various semi auto rifles, pistols, revolvers, shotguns and a .50 BMG Rifle. It was also on private land so we could do what we wanted without any rules to follow.

One of the best things was trying out some Belgian .30-06 Armour Piercing incendiary ammunition. This produced a white flash on impact and penetrated the scrap steel target with no problem.

The 12 Gauge explosive tracer slugs were also entertaining. They fly with a red trace and produce a loud explosion on impact with a hard taget.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to the colonies! What part of the U.S. were you in?

HAZORD: I was in Bangor Maine for the shooting.

Taber: I don't mean the firearms laws as such but range rules. On ranges here in the UK everything is so strictly controlled that they treat you like children and it is simply not enjoyable.

Hey Falcon! Great that you got to enjoy a bonafide shootin' fest. Nothing funner. Especially if the ammo is provided. My range was akin to your experience, where only safety rules applied. Worst thing that ever happened was people got tired of smilin'.

Yeah Rick, it is kind of hard to get the big grin off your face at the end of the day, now that you mention it.
