SC250 main section

this one is SC250 recovered at remaining of german wwii airfield. it is interestig as fuse caps are rather preserved.

i am trained in EOD, and the item on pictures is rendered by qualified EOD professionals.

both were of same type

I would have thought they would have used different types to bog down the EOD man at the time?
Unless the bomb was in storage,hence found at the old airfield?

bomb was found buried with nose down at aprox 1.5 m deep. above the bomb there was concrete pipe that associated me to the sink hole, covered with concrete plate and layer of earth. as we found electrical wires in the hole, and 3 more concrete covers on the field, that just had to be examined, where all four form rectangle 60x20 meters, i think that this bomb was set as demolition charge to destroy airstrip.

Here in the Uk i spoken to numerous Bomb disposal personnel who have told me the same thing that the rear pocketed fuze the (55) was often found still with the cap in place it was told to reporter whilst making the television doc Danger UXB in 2000 that these fuzes often got damp inside them, so they were used just to fill up the second fuze pocket, theres the proof thank you Al Saad
