Thanks - Nice to see two early Trip mechanisms.

I have not seen the item on the far left of the picture before. Is it some sort of pen projector?

Thanks for the two replies - I was wondering if anyone would pick up on the 'pen'! I've never seen anything like it before and hoped someone would identify it. When you pull the top it comes out about an inch and then clicks at a stop. The lever at the bottom is a trip switch, releasing the plunger inside the pen with a considerable clunk! There is a needle striker and the bottom end of the pen has a screw thread, but I don't have what it screws into - probably the exploder. Here's some more pictures of it:

looks like some sort of fuze lighter.the thread at the bottom is probably for the adapter to hold the primer/cap and fuze.funny that it has a pocket clip like a pen and its quite small so could be SOE
