Hi all
i picked these up at the leeds fair the other week both are flare cases one ww1 german and the other i think may be russian.
the german one is marked RAUFOSS PATRONFABRIK 1916
The other marked with only a five pointed star if anyone could give me a little more on this one that would be nice. The german one is 95mm long and the other is 98mm both are 26/27mm
Thanks Andy

Hi dogdog,

the "german" case is a 28mm norwegian. This caliber was used only in Norway. The other one is not russian, this case looks like a french M17, but the headstamp is unknown for me. French carts where used in many countries after ww1.

Best regards
Horst
