I saw that a while ago, its a Hungarian drill grenade repesenting the 42M stick grenade. Genuine but definitely not WW1 much later I think.

Just checked and it seems that the 42m grenade was in service between 1943 and 1995, so a long service history. Check out the info on Lex's site
