Question about the Nr 162 fuzes

A same number for two different fuzes ?
Is it common ?

The second represant No 162 ; is an inert practice fuze with the 81mm mortar head adapter. The designation is L67 series.

The Number 162 was originally used in WW2 mortars. Later the UK developed the 81 mm mortar and I think the 162 was used in that, in an adapter. The L67 plug representing the fuze did away with the need for an adapter.
