These guys call them a PUS -7

PUS-7 sub-calibre training round (Russian Federation).
The PUS-7 (PUS-7) Pribor Utchebnoj Strelby-7 is a sub-calibre device for training RPG-7. The device replicates a standard PG-7 HEAT round. The rocket motor has been replaced with a firing assembly for a standard 7.62 39 mm cartridge. Manufactured in Czech Republic. EXC original condition. Very interesting and collectable Cold War training aid from USSR and their allied countries.

Its Czech for sure. Anyone know of the official designation or is the above correct?

I would also like to get a manual for the Czech RPG and the use of the subcal.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Craig

I have manual for Sovie PUS-7. On my opinion it`s a bit another as Soviet and has own name, I think not PUS-7.
Here you`re original PUS-7. Video from Ukraine - http://rutube.ru/video/04d479d8c4eee1bf3515f3864566bf89/

Are there any markings present?
As Ivashkin says, the original PUS-7 looks different and is a Russian design.

Here the Russian variants known to me:

Hello,
the item you have is officially called "7,62mm Vlozna hlaven 7A"
it is a second variant of insert barrel for the RPG 7 produced in former Czechoslovakia and still used for training.
It fires the 7,62-Zm-43 round. By Czech law it is considered a weapon.
The TTD is an abbreviation for Tactical Technical Data.
Regards, Bob

Thanks Bob, any chance of an original manual on this.... or even some scans????

It would be greatly appreciated.

Craig

Hi, the manual you are looking for is Del-21-16 7,62mm Vlozna hlaven 7A from 1970.
Unfortunately, I do not have it.

Bob

As far as i know an other czech device exists for the RPG-7 that uses an interesting special cartridge. A 7.62mm tracer cartridge is coupled to a blank one with a zink collar with the primer on the side. I found it on the IAA forum where it was mentioned as SCB-7. I don't know whether it is correct or not
