Pse assist id'ing these?

FN is Fabrique Nationale , Belgium. the date looks to be 1951, Probably a Mauser round though some dimensions would help.

Yep!..but even though origonally FN rounds it doesn't necessarily mean they were 'repurposed' to drill rounds by FN :tinysmile_angry_t:
I agree with hangerman,they do look like the 7.92x57 so called 'Mauser' round

I believe these are hollow Training Rounds used in the most basic instruction of new troops, for completely safe loading and weapon cycling practice. One piece, no projectile. This specific round is unknown to me but I agree the FN 51 means Fabrique Nationale 1951. I found a few of these in German 8mm Mauser while stationed in a previous WWII Kaserne in Neu Ulm, FRG in 1969. The ones I found were dated in the late 1930's and early 1940's.
