This is the original Italian version of "Scent of a woman" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072037/. The American remake, while being excellent by itself, altered the main theme of twisted love of the original. And the gun you see (I think 9mm Beretta) actually fires. Vittorio Gassman, a veteran Italian actor, shines bright in this movie. I love those little tricks a blind man uses, like pouring whiskey with one finger inside the glass to feel liquor level. By the way, anyone saw "Big deal on Madonna Street"?
