Please can someone identify these bomb fins?

Hi BOCN members I'm new to the site and registered in the hope that someone here will be able to identify these bomb two fins please. I found them whilst clearing out an old storage container in 2007. They have a few numbers stamped on one of the fins '124 Z 1940' and a strange little 'r' shaped like an axe stamped on the outermost corner? There's also an inscription written in pencil which reads 'fell at Mr sergeants Hardys Terrace 9.30 Oct 16 1940 weight of bombs 112 lbs approx' I've looked at a few German bomb pictures and they look like they might be from an SC70 but I'm not knowledgeable about these things. They look genuine and have original paint but I couldn't tell you if they're British, German or even good fakes? There are a couple of terrible photographs in my gallery (link below) I took with my playstation vita, apologies, my SDmicro card fried when I tried to root my phone so only have the low definition vita camera to hand. Thanks in advance for any replies. Lovely looking site btw. sincerely Iain Smith
sorry, can't figure out how to post photos in thread. Bear with me. Lol

Hi, first of all welcome to bocn.

You may wish to look at some previous posts on SC50 or SD50 or indeed SD70 bombs if you suspect the tail to be from one of these. Its very difficult for anyone to give you a positive ID without photos......maybe if you gave some dimensions (including diameter) that would help determine the size, as also would the material they are made from...

thanks Allan...

looking at the photos I think the fins are possibly from a SC250 - though I would say a measurement of the width of the fin would really help

nice item with history thanks for showing
